PHP User Group Philippines (PHPUGPH) together with Microsoft Philippines supporting Filipinos be competitive in the global IT industry landscape

March 22nd, 2010 Comments Off

PHP User Group Philippines (PHPUGPH) together with Microsoft Philippines supporting Filipinos be competitive in the global IT industry landscape.

“Filipino developers don’t have much resources, funds and support to do research and unfortunately, they also don’t have enough training for them to excel even though Filipino developers are one of the most skilled in the global IT industry. The purpose of the summit is not only to share knowledge about PHP alone but also to inform developers of the good programming practices and other tools that would aid them in their work,” said Cherrie Ann Domingo, president of PHP User Group Philippines.

“We’re confident that Filipino developers will thrive in a competitive atmosphere because this is where their creativity and ingenuity will set them apart. By ensuring a robust software economy, we’re also able to support the development of our national economy,” said Microsoft Philippines platform strategy manager Arnie Locsin

Windows Calculator Pi (π) Easter Egg

January 28th, 2009 6 Comments »

pi

This might be very old but I just accidentally found this easter egg on my Windows computer…

Copy this word in quotes “pi” and paste it (CTRL+V) in Windows Calculator (calc.exe) and you get the first 32 decimal digits of pi (?).

calc

Cool huh? By the way, I’m using Windows Vista (yeah, I know). Not sure if this works on other versions of Windows. Try it and let us know in the comments.
