This could be very useful someday…

This JavaScript Flash Sound API has other powerful controls like:
* stream
* autoplay
* onid3 - for ID3 tag displaying
* whileplaying
* and more..
Using SoundManager, you can easily create sound based web applications or more interactive background sounds for non-Flash websites.

IETester: Internet Explorer tester for the web soldier

April 23rd, 2008 No Comments »

Ahh… the realities of a web soldier (designer/programmer/whatever you want to call them) - Internet Explorer. Just like a dream… Sometimes it’s a lot of fun and most of the time a nightmare.

So here’s a new tool to help us through the day aside from biting our fingers and pulling our hairs. IETester.

IETester is a free WebBrowser that allows you to have the rendering and javascript engines of IE8 beta 1, IE7 IE 6 and IE5.5 on Vista and XP, as well as the installed IE in the same process.

Multiple IE is cool but I didn’t have any luck installing it on Vista (*cough* $uckS *cough*).

Sigh, Internet Explorer. Can’t live with it, can’t live without it. :(

Another reason not to use Godaddy for your hosting needs

April 16th, 2008 No Comments »

Godaddy domains are ok. But hosting? Nah. I think free ones are a lot better.

Here’s another unsatisfied customer. BittBox:

I switched the DNS and this morning I canceled my GoDaddy account. I’m looking forward to this fresh start, and again, I apologize to those of you who were inconvenienced by GoDaddy’s incompetence.

Yeah. Go daddy. Gone.

Old man solves Stonehenge scientific mystery

April 1st, 2008 1 Comment »

Wally Wallington of Flint, Michigan might have solved the Stonehenge mystery. He uses no pulleys, no hoist, no tools and only his hands, some stones and his favorite tool - gravity.

He could lift a block the weight of 2 bulldozers. Amazing person!

Watch the video and be amazed. :)

Myo Kyaw Htun think so. He writes about how to effectively copy (steal?) a wordpress theme here.

Excerp from the blog:

“But I’m afraid that my guideness will lead you to be a thief. Keep in mind that you should consider copyright and respect other’s people work. - Myo Kyaw Htun”
