Microsoft is ramping up the search engine space by pushing a major update of Live.com (Live Search).
Initial testing proves that they improved on the search relevance (I got what I want the first time) and speed. Live Search is also now sporting an all new auto-spell correction (which is cool!) and better stop-words handling (late, but better than never).

Good to see that they’re trying to take the game to a higher level. And we’ve always expected it. Good job Live Search team!

I love helpful tools and I’ve done a weekend project to skin Xinu. I had fun!
What is Xinu (unix spelled backward)? It’s a tool to help you check your blog’s (or even someone’s) PageRank, Alexa rank, backlinks, feed subscribers, technorati rank, domain validation/diagnostics and much more. You can also use it for your website.
Xinu has also a reporting tool to save it as PDF if you need to print (still scratchy).

Visit:
http://xinu.techhive.net
It currently works with IE7, FF2, Opera 9.x and Netscape 9. Please let me know if it’s useful to you.
Have a great weekend!

This is how my Yahoo! Site Explorer looks like. 186 websites and counting (adding 7 to 8 websites / day).

To the Yahoo! Site Explorer team:
Could you kindly take a look at the Display and Layout under Preference. I keep on saving it to show only 20 sites per page, but it keeps on showing all domains (it doesn’t work).

It is painstakingly slow showing all domains and it will be a lot slower when I add more each day.
Thanks in advance.

See how the Google founders views the searches, people logging-in and what’s interesting in Google. The videos are outdated but they are very freshly posted at TED.

Very interesting. You will feel the real power of Google in this video.
Makes you fell like you’re not worthy.

Have a great weekend.

Pagebull’s sophisticated search process gives you actual screenshots of the search results. Most search engines simply list the site. You have to click on them to find that the site is not quite what you wanted. With Pagebull, you can see the front page, allowing you to sort out the most helpful pages for you. And Pagebull helps you to avoid harmful content, so you can surf the Internet more secure.
