I was searching for additional htaccess information this morning when I got a malware warning from google.

Ok. That might not seem weird for most of us, but here is my question. Why do you even show it higher on search engine result pages (SERP) if you already know it is not advisable to go there? If it is malware? It is #2 for the search term “htaccess [L]“.

Mass hack infects tens of thousands of sites. Then they serve visitors multiple exploits, including October RealPlayer attack according to Computerworld.

“Some Windows users have been affected by a malware program that imitates Skype software and attempts to steal sensitive information. 65404-SkypeDefenderSetup.exe is classified as an Infostealer, that is, a Trojan horse program that attempts to steal sensitive information such as login credentials.”

Well, it’s time to change your password. Monster.com got hacked. More than 1.6 million records that included the personal information of several hundred thousand job seekers got stolen.

The attackers have been using e-mail addresses obtained from the site to conduct so-called phishing scams that trick people into installing malicious software on their computers too.
